History

Early Years

Arsenal Football Club was founded in 1886 by a group of workers from the Woolwich Arsenal Armament Factory. The club initially played in the south of London, but moved to the north of the city in 1913. Arsenal has won 13 First Division titles, 14 FA Cups, and two League Cups. The club has also reached the final of the European Cup on three occasions.

Arsène Wenger Era

Arsène Wenger was appointed manager of Arsenal in 1996. Under Wenger, Arsenal won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and reached the final of the Champions League in 2006. Wenger left Arsenal in 2018 after 22 years in charge.

Recent History

Since Wenger's departure, Arsenal has been managed by Unai Emery and Mikel Arteta. The club has won the FA Cup under Arteta, but has not won a league title since 2004. Arsenal is currently in a period of transition, and it is unclear when the club will next win a major trophy.
